The Federal Government has postponed the commencement date for the nationwide recruitment into the Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire and Correctional Services.
The application portal, which was earlier scheduled to open on Thursday, June 26, will now be accessible from Monday, July 14, 2025.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announced that interested candidates can submit their applications through the official portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
The application period will last for three weeks, and the process is free of charge.
The board has made it clear that applicants are allowed to apply for only one agency among the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
Submitting more than one application will lead to disqualification.
Job categories available include superintendent, inspectorate, and assistant levels.
Candidates applying for the Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 09) under the NCoS must hold a degree in Medicine and Surgery.
The Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09) position for FFS requires a degree in Law or Engineering-related fields.
Applicants seeking the Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 8) role in NSCDC, FFS, or NIS must possess a BSc or Higher National Diploma.
For the Inspector role (CONHESS 06), only registered nurses or midwives can apply.
Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06) applicants must have a National Diploma or NCE in relevant fields.
Those interested in the Assistant II (CONPASS 04) General Duty position must have a minimum of five credits in SSCE, NECO, or equivalent exams in not more than two sittings.
Assistant III General Duty candidates need four credits under similar conditions.
Other basic requirements include Nigerian citizenship, medical fitness, clean criminal and financial records, and an age range of 18 to 35 years.
