The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has warned Nigerians about fifteen companies operating in the country without proper registration.
According to the commission, these entities are using fake names and registration numbers, and any transactions with them will not be legally protected.
The CAC listed the companies as Famas Services Nigeria Limited, Promo Dutch Investment Limited, Dialack Concept Nig. Ltd, Purpleheart Construction and Real Estate Management Co. Ltd, M/S Loktu Enterprises, Loktu Enterprises, Badatoyak Ltd, Johnson Nats Limited, Peoples Club Nigeria International, Jiba Enterprise, Civil Engineering Solutions Nigeria Limited, Gabdoff Hotel Ltd, Amoka Group, BEEC Nigeria Limited, and S. Adetunji. None of these names appeared in the official CAC database.
The warning comes after an increase in reports from the public about suspicious business practices.
The commission urged Nigerians to take precautions before engaging with any company.
Individuals and businesses are advised to verify company names and registration numbers through the CAC online portal, request incorporation documents for high-value transactions, avoid payments to unverified companies, and report suspicious activities to the CAC or law enforcement agencies.
