Former Nigerian Commissioner Receives Royal Title 


The traditional ruler of Rubochi Chiefdom in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Pada, has bestowed the title of Santurakin Rubochi on Ezekiel Musa Dalhatu, a former commissioner with the Public Complaints Commission.

The turbaning ceremony took place at the monarch’s palace on Saturday.

During the event, the royal father also honoured his son, Sadiq Ibrahim, with the title Tafidan Abaji.

Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Pada explained that the decision to grant the titles was in recognition of the honourees’ contributions to the development of the chiefdom, particularly in creating employment opportunities for local youth.

Dalhatu expressed his gratitude, saying he felt deeply honoured by the recognition.

He acknowledged that the title comes with new responsibilities and promised to work alongside the other titleholders to bring further progress to the community.

He spoke further on their collective commitment to using their influence and connections to improve infrastructure and amenities in Rubochi, especially for the benefit of the palace.

Other individuals also received traditional titles during the event.

Engineer Al Hasan D. Zakwoyi was named Garkuwan Rubochi, Barrister Sunday Kuku became Shamanki Rubochi, Galadima T. Gabakwo was honoured as Makaman Rubochi, and Aliyu Ahmed received the title Magaji Rubochi.
