The GO of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Pastor Dr Daniel Olukoya, has filed a 10 billion naira lawsuit against presidential aspirant and CEO of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, and his organization for libel.
Dr olukoya is demanding N10bn in damages for their failure to desist from publishing false and malicious articles against him and his Ministry, since 2013.

In the court papers filed before the Akwa Ibom state High court in Uyo, the founder of the ministry, said several peaceful appeals have been made by him and his church to Sowore and his news platform (sahara reporters) to refrain from publishing false malicious articles against them.
He however stated that the attempt to reach a peaceful resolution even after a 7-day ultimatum proved abortive hence the court action.
Apart from the N10bn damages, the pastor and his church has asked the court to order the defendants to pull down and erase each of the offending stories from the Internet forthwith, and tender a written apology and retraction which must be published prominently in their online news report and in at least three nationally circulating newspapers and two international magazines, including TIME International.
