NDLEA officers reportedly waited until the end of his Sunday service before moving in.

Olasele had been on the run since June, escaping arrest twice and fleeing to Ghana after operatives linked him to two major drug seizures; 200kg of Ghana Loud, a type of cannabis, at Okun Ajah Beach on June 4, and another 700kg found in his delivery van on July 6.

Upon arrest, he allegedly admitted to moving the illicit drugs through waterways from Ghana into Nigeria and hiding in the neighbouring country to avoid capture.
