Granit Xhaka has reportedly been left angered by Mikel Arteta despite the new Arsenal boss praising him.
Arteta has only been in the Gunners’ hotseat a week, and one of his first tasks was to resolve the issue surrounding the ex-
Arsenal skipper.
Xhaka’s career at Arsenal appeared to be over after he was stripped of the captaincy following an on-field outburst during
Unai Emery’s tenure.

The change of manager looked to have given the Swiss midfielder a fresh start, particularly when Arteta talked him up to the media.
However Xhaka is said to be angry that Arteta has praised him publicly, while contradicting that in private.
Arteta is already said to have held talks with the player prior to the Bournemouth clash, where he allegedly told Xhaka he’s happy for him to leave the club.
Now Xhaka looks set to depart in January, and already has a destination in mind.
