How Popular Actress Iyabo Ojo Was Summoned By EFCC For Questioning

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, also known as the Queen Mother, recently shared that she was invited by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning.

While she was in the UK, she received a letter from the agency and upon returning to Nigeria, she honoured the invitation on May 5, 2025.

According to her post on Instagram, the EFCC asked her questions about her personal details, career, and companies, and specifically about her daughter’s recent wedding.

During the session, she was shown video clips from the wedding where guests were seen spraying both Naira and foreign currencies.

Iyabo explained that she believed only mutilating or abusing the Naira was against the law, but was surprised to learn that spraying any currency, including dollars, is also illegal in Nigeria.

She was warned that spraying money on people is not permitted and has since advised others to avoid such actions to prevent legal issues.

Her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, recently got married to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in a lavish ceremony.
