Some ladies have gone online to narrate how waist beads caused severe menstrual cramps for them.
Twitter user, @Pweetydoreen kicked off the conversation when she mentioned her personal experience regarding waist beads. She said she had got her first pair last year and that they were accompanied by daily menstrual cramps which became worse as time went on.
She said the pains stopped immediately she stopped wearing the beads and has never bought the accessories again.
Other ladies began to reply her story with similar experiences. While others questioned the origin of the waist beads, suspecting it must have been bewitched.
