I don’t want to end up like Sowore – Comedian AY tells fan who tried to nudge him into celebrity activism

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun popularly known as AY, has categorically stated that he cannot be involved in celebrity activism and end up in custody like revolution now protest convener, Omoyele Sowore.

The comedian who had posted a video of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, acknowledging his movie ‘Merry Men’ had been attacked by a follower who took offense to his acceptance of political praise.

AY had then proceeded to let him know that he was just doing the best he could and that Nigerians ought not be dependent on the Government or celebrities to make a difference.

After further prodding, he had excused himself from the activism being foist on him and said that he only wanted to do the job he knew as he was not a politician.
