“I know my rights” Young man cries out as SARS operatives viciously beat him over phone search

A young man known to be a trader has stood his ground while he was receiving a vicious beating from SARS operatives for reportedly refusing to unlock his phone.

The incident was said to have happened at Oke Ira in Lagos state when the officers had allegedly searched the young man and found nothing incriminating on him.

The policemen had asked why the boy had two phones and requested him to unlock it. He however refused to do so, stating that he was well within his rights to refuse a search of his phone.

This allegedly prompted the officers to deliver a vicious beating to the young man as onlookers tried to calm the situation down.
