South African rapper AKA has decided to end the hostilities with Nigerian Star Burna Boy after he insisted on coming to the country to perform.

The African Giant had said that the only way he could be stopped from coming to the country was if he was killed.

Recall, AKA had demanded an apology from him for insulting the country. He had also made subtle threats about his safety which other South Africans has honed in on.

After Burna’s refusal to apologize, AKA had decided it was time to let things slide.

He wrote:

I think it’s gone far enough now, apology or not. We cannot afford for South Africans and Nigerians to continue with this type of energy. This will not end well.

Don’t let politicians hijack this issue and use it for their own agendas. It will be taken to a level that there will be no turning back from.

If my agenda is pride in my flag, it’s people and standing against the spread of FALSE INFORMATION, FAKE VIDEOS and FAKE NEWS … then sure. That is my agenda. 🇿🇦

One thing that has been particularly worrying is the silence from my own leadership, especially the department of arts and culture. It truly is up to us, the people, to solve our own problems. I have not been led, I have been left to lead.

I am NEVER getting involved in Politics ever again. On any level.

To be honest, the department owes YOU an Apology for funding this concert in the first place.

Let’s drop this whole thing now. We remain proud of our country but it’s time to move on.
