JAMB sends warning to 16 universities over post-utme scores
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned 16 universities that are yet to forward the Post-UTME results of underage candidates who took part in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The Board made this known in its weekly bulletin released last week Monday.
The exam body stated that the affected institutions missed the initial September 15 deadline and are now being reminded to comply without further delay.
The universities yet to submit include Abia State University, Uturu; Bayelsa Medical University; Bingham University, Karu; Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia; Federal University of Technology, Ikot-Abasi; Federal University, Lokoja; Kwara State University, Malete; Lead City University, Ibadan; Madonna University, Elele; McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo; Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike; Modibbo Adama University, Yola; Rhema University, Aba; Topfaith University, Mkpatak; University of Abuja; and University of Calabar.
According to JAMB, 40 underage candidates are affected by the delay.
Earlier, 23 universities were identified for failing to submit their results on time, which left 135 candidates stranded in the admission process.
To keep admissions running smoothly, the Board has shifted the final deadline for assessing underage candidates and reminded all universities to upload their recommended candidates on the Central Admissions Processing System.
Public universities are expected to complete this by September 30, while private universities have until October 31.
JAMB warned that the final deadlines remain October 30 for public institutions and November 30 for private ones, in line with the decision reached during the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions chaired by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa.
