About four students have collapsed today march 28th, after a fire extinguisher exploded inside a crowded lab in the University of Port Harcourt(UNIPORT) during practicals.
The incident occurred when a student hit the fire extinguisher causing it to explode in the overcrowded laboratory.
Dockaysworld learnt that the lab had been cramped with over 300 students trying to carry out their various procedures in the tight space.
The congested room had caused difficulty in breathing which was further compounded when the fire extinguisher exploded releasing its gas into the enclosed place.

No lives were lost but four students were reported to have collapsed instantly while others tried to resuscitate them after fleeing the laboratory hurriedly.
The affected students have however been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
