Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, popularly known as Shiites, reportedly stormed the National Assembly and shot 3 policemen and an NSCDC officer in the process.
One of the injured policemen beaten up by Shi’ites protesters identified as Umar Abdulahi, a Sergeant, has died.
The others include the DPO, who was stabbed in the arm and two others.

One of them, it was learnt, was shot on the side (rib) and the other on the thigh.
The Shiites had been at the venue to protest but things turned violent when the protesters tried to force their way into the assembly complex.
They had been demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky, being held by the DSS to face charges for culpable homicide, unlawful assembly and disruption of public peace.
