Juventus have confirmed that defender Daniele Rugani, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Italian giants confirmed the incident on their club website yesterday.
Rugani was on the bench for Sunday’s
home game against Inter Milan, had not shown any symptoms of the virus.
The 25-year-old has now been quarantined in a bid to reduce the risk of the footballer spreading the virus to teammates at Juve.
Juventus had a training session yesterday however star Player Cristiano Ronaldo was absent.
The Portuguese international had fled to Madeira and would remain there “awaiting developments related to the current health emergency”.
Rugani was a transfer target for Chelsea last summer but the English club could not agree a deal with Juventus for the defender.
