Kidnappers free Aisha Wahab after N20M ransom payment

After days of pleading for ransom, Aisha has finally regained her freedom from kidnappers following a tense week of uncertainty and fear for her life.

The young girl was reported to have been abducted in Igbira Camp, Auchi, Edo State, and had spent several days in captivity while her family and well-meaning Nigerians struggled to raise the demanded ransom.

Aisha was said to have been forced to make videos pleading for the ransom amount, stating that she would be killed if payment was not made.

In the last video released days ago, the kidnappers were reported to have given her until 5 pm for friends and family to pay up, otherwise she would be killed.

Since then, there had been silence, causing many to worry about her outcome until the recent update of her release.

A video obtained by Dockaysworld has shown a visibly exhausted Aisha alongside popular activist Harrison Gwamnishu, confirming her freedom.

Isreal DMW, who had earlier been publicly called upon by Aisha’s mother to assist, has also confirmed the development in a post shared online.

According to him, the ₦20 million ransom demanded by the kidnappers has been paid in full before Aisha’s release.

He wrote, “Aishatu has just been released by her captors after paying the complete ₦20m. No kobo was deducted. The family has just confirmed her release to me. Pray not to ever be abducted, Amen.”

Aisha’s mother had earlier gone viral in a tearful video pleading for help from Nigerians after her daughter was kidnapped and threatened with death if the ransom was not paid.
