Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Sadio Mane has suffered a “muscle tweak”.
But the Liverpool boss is unsure whether the striker will be fit for the Reds’ clash with West Ham next time out in the Premier League.
“Sadio is a real shame he had to go off,” said Klopp.
“Hopefully it’s not too bad – just a muscle tweak, but we will see tomorrow.”
Mane was forced off in the first half of Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Wolves at Molineux on Thursday evening.
The Senegal international dropped to the ground and appeared to be holding his hamstring.
The striker received some treatment on the pitch but was told he’d be coming off as a precaution, and suddenly jumped to his feet.
He then limped off the pitch and was replaced by January signing Takumi Minamino.
Liverpool defeated wolves 2-1 coutsey of a late Roberto Firmino goal.
