Man City suffer shock defeat to wolves after late drama leaves Champions eight points behind Liverpool

Manchester City blew the chance to close the gap on Liverpool at the topf the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are eight points clear of City ahead of the international break following City’s shock 2-0 home defeat to Wolves.

City had been thwarted during the first half before the visitors stunned the Etihad to come away with three points.

Raul Jimenez broke away from Nicolas Otamendi before teeing up Adama Traore, who slotted past Ederson. 

And as City pushed forward for an equaliser, they were caught out again as Traore used his pace before finishing.
