A man who attempted to commit suicide today at Awolowo Bridge in Lagos state has been rescued by locals in the area who were on canoes.
He was seen leaping of the bridge which prompted pleas of help by witnesses who drew the attention of the canoe men.
The unidentified man was later picked up by a rescue team who proceeded to transfer him to the hospital for medical assistance.
