A lady identified as Victoria Oshioke, had narrated how she was sold into prostitution by her boyfriend for 350,000 Naira.
She had been trafficked to Mali when she was 16 years old after being sold to a trafficking syndicate in Cotonou.
The ringleader of the human trafficking syndicate who allegedly specializes in selling young girls out for prostitution has been arrested.

The 30-year-old suspect, Omowunmi Michael, was arrested at her Iyana-Ipaja home by operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Lagos State command.
It was gathered that she made N18,600 per victim she trafficked to African countries especially Mali.
Omowunmi was apprehended alongside four of her victims. Those rescued were Aloaye Joy, 22; Victoria Oshioke, 18; Amaka Eze, 23; and Anuoluwapo Mustapha.
Trouble had started when she was in a disagreement with her victims over how much they ought to pay before she handed them over. She had reportedly demanded N1million from them.
When the victims had disagreed or been unable to pay, she’d threatened to take them back to Benin where she had taken them from.
It was further gathered that out of anger, two of the victims, Aloaye Joy and Victoria Oshioke, stormed out of the house
