Man sentenced to jail for enticing married woman in Jos

An Area Court in Jos on Wednesday sentenced one Abdullahi Usman to 12 months’ imprisonment for enticing a married woman and defaming her.

The presiding judge, Irene Pati, delivered the sentence after Usman pleaded guilty to the charges.

The court, however, gave the convict an option of a N50,000 fine in place of the 12-month jail term.

Police prosecutor, Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported at the Angwan Rogo Police Station on November 24, 2025, by the complainant, Hamza Aliyu.
