Marcus Rashford injury worse than first feared as star man could be out till next season

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, will need a miracle if he is to play again this season.

Rashford suffered a back injury just 16 minutes after coming on for the Red Devils in their 1-0 win over Wolves in the FA Cup in January.

Solskjaer’s latest update on Rashford’s double stress fracture isn’t as promising as the Norwegian had hoped, and will keep the 22-year-old out for “another few months”.

“He had a scan and it was maybe more severe than what we hoped and expected. He felt fine a few days before that,” Solskjaer said.

“I didn’t know it takes that time to recover. When it heals he will be stronger for it so it’s important we don’t rush it.”

Rashford has chipped in with 14 goals for Manchester United in the Premier League this season, and is a huge miss for the top-four challenging Red Devils.
