May Yul-Edochie sues ex-inlaw, demands ₦500m damages for defamation

May Yul-Edochie, estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has taken legal action against Yinka Theisen, the U.S.-based ex-fiancée of Yul’s elder brother, Linc Edochie.

In a cease-and-desist notice issued on August 19, 2025, by her legal representatives, Gray Law Partners, May accused Theisen of publishing “false, malicious, and defamatory” statements against her on social media.

The document, signed by Esther Chinaza Fijo, Esq., alleged that Theisen engaged in cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and public shaming, which had endangered May’s safety and caused significant damage to her reputation.

The notice demanded that Theisen withdraw all posts, issue a public apology across every platform, and pay ₦500 million in damages.
