Former Super Eagles Captain John Mikel Obi, has send a message to his fans following the termination of his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor by mutual consent on Tuesday.
Dockaysworld eailer reported the storey on his contract termination but the true reasons was not stated.
However following intensive work, it was revealed Mikel Obi demanded his contract was terminated after the league refused to go on suspension due to the deadly coronavirus, And his relationship with his coach was at a low level after he refused to be substituted in a league game on Sunday – Dockaysworld understands.
Writing on Instagram in a fareware message , Mikel stated :
“I would like to thank all the fans for their support. I also want to say thanks to all my teammates, technical crew, medical team and kit men Ayatabe for all we’ve achieved this season so far, wish you guys best of luck in winning the league
“It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but in current situation we all need take care of our families, spend time with them and protect them.
