Ministers should not be traveling out of the country too much – President Buhari announces travel restrictions

The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed, has announced New travel restrictions placed on ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He disclosed that Ministers can only travel out of the country eight times in a year henceforth.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that no minister should go on foreign trips more than twice in a quarter.

Also, ministers are not allowed to take more than four aides with them when leaving the country as part of the new rules.

Government officials below the rank of ministers are henceforth entitled to fewer aides and estacode would no longer be calculated on hourly basis.
