N914M approved by Okpebholo not enough to rebuild my hotel, Tony Kabaka says (VIDEO)

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Tony Adun, popularly known as Tony Kabaka, has expressed mixed feelings over the N914 million compensation approved by Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, for his demolished hotel.

In an interview, Kabaka said the money, though significant, was not enough to rebuild the hotel which was pulled down by the administration of former governor Godwin Obaseki for allegedly being erected on government land.

Kabaka added that his experience had left him with a “phobia for investing in Benin,” stressing that investors need to feel secure if the state is to attract meaningful development. He also restated his belief that “the judiciary is the last hope of the common man.”

Governor Okpebholo had earlier announced the approval of the compensation, describing it as part of efforts to address grievances arising from past government actions.
