Veteran Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey, has pleaded with the EFCC to release Naira Marley because his smoking probably was in control of him during the yahoo controversy.

The saga had started when Naira Marley had endorsed internet fraudsters AKA yahoo boys which prompted a debate online.

The issue had culminated in the arrest of Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago and others by the EFCC over their suspected connection to cybercrime. While Zlatan has been released, Naira Marley remains in custody as the EFCC say the evidence against him is overwhelming. 

Daddy Showkey who noted Naira Marley insulted his elders including Ruggedman when admonished, begged the EFCC to let him go so his mistakes won’t end his career in the music industry. 

He wrote as he shared his video;

Temper justice with mercy. This is just a young man growing up.lets not use his mistakes to spoil his career we all went through so many things growing up….we can use him as a spoke man to young people against crime @officialefcc may be he will learn with this
