The assistant coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Akin Olowokere, has been confirmed dead.
Dockaysworld reports that the football coach died on Monday morning during a training session with the team.
Olowokere, a recent addition to the club’s coaching crew and a former Sunshine Stars of Akure player, reportedly slumped on the pitch while the team was engaged in its morning drills.

He was immediately given emergency medical attention and rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.
