Nigerian social media influencer and devoted Wizkid fan known as Barbiecue has died after reportedly falling down a flight of stairs.
A statement released via her official page confirmed that she passed away two days ago after being in a coma for several days.
According to the post, she fell while trying to help a woman carrying a baby, suffering a severe head injury that led to her death.
“She fell down the stairs while trying to help a woman with her baby carrier and suffered a severe head injury. Despite all efforts, she didn’t make it. She was such a kind, selfless soul — even in her final moments, she was helping someone else,” the statement read.
Tributes have poured in across social media, particularly from Wizkid’s fanbase known as the “FC,” where Barbiecue was an active and outspoken member.
The emotional post on her page described her as someone who always gave to others even when she had little herself.
“A lot was said about you because of misunderstandings, but one thing they never knew is that you were an angel sent by God,” it added.
Barbiecue had previously gained attention online for her passionate defense of Wizkid and her public clashes with Davido’s fanbase.
She also made headlines in recent months when she publicly sought financial assistance to help her sister, who was reportedly battling kidney disease and asking Davido for help despite previously allegedly mocking his dead son.
Friends and fans continue to mourn her passing, describing her as a loyal, kind-hearted person who lived her life with passion and sincerity.
