A Nigerian man known as Kelechi Cosmos Emeh, has been arrested for $400k scam in Queensland, Australia.
The Nigerian man who lives Queensland, Australia, impersonated a U.S soldier and romantically scammed a woman off $370,000.
Kelechi’s greed got the best of him as he demanded the lady send him another $170,000. This led to his arrest.
He appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday after the arrest at his Durak home on Thursday.
The Nigerian man who has been in Australia for two years and lives in a rented apartment in Durak with his partner, a permanent citizen, since entering the country, allegedly received the money over the course of three months from the 34-year-old Brisbane woman, who later contacted police and sparked the investigation.
Kelechi had been in the country on a student visa, where he claimed to be a U.S soldier in Syria after tracking the lady in October, 2018 on social media.
