NNPC increases petrol pump price
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has increased the pump price of petrol.
Filling stations in Lagos are now selling at N915 per litre and Abuja at N955 per litre.
On Monday, the new prices were spotted at various NNPC retail stations.
In Lagos, the Abule Ado branch of NNPC adjusted the rate from N865 to N915 per litre.
Two outlets along Ago Palace Way in Okota also changed their prices to N915.
In the Federal Capital Territory, residents buying from NNPC outlets along the Kubwa Expressway now pay N955 per litre, up from the earlier price of N890.
Meanwhile, recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that residents of Jigawa, Ondo, and Lagos paid the highest petrol prices in June.
In contrast, states like Yobe, Kogi, and Imo recorded the lowest average prices during the same period, all slightly below N990 per litre.
Dangote refinery had earlier reduced its ex-depot price to N820 per litre after a previous drop to N840.
Despite this move, retail pump prices at NNPC outlets have continued to rise.
