Naby Keita had the best of Liverpool’s chances, but failed to convert a rebound past Tim Krul from inside the six-yard box.
Alexander Tettey then rattled the post with a driven cross-shot from the edge of the box which had Alisson scrambling, as Norwich applied some pressure.
But cue the introduction of Sadio Mane as a substitute to provide the crucial winner.
The forward plucked Henderson’s long ball out of the sky before drilling a shot into the bottom corner to spare Liverpool’s blushes.
