Media personality Oladotun “Do2dtun” Kayode has accused the United States Embassy in Nigeria of helping his ex-wife allegedly take their children out of the country despite an active court case.
In multiple posts seen by Dockaysworld, Dotun said the embassy issued new passports to the children without his consent even though he had their old passports in his possession.
He alleged that false information may have been used to obtain the documents.
He questioned how the embassy granted the mother access to travel with the children during an ongoing custody dispute.
Dotun also called out former US Consul-General Mary Beth Leonard, asking for an explanation on how the children were able to leave Nigeria without his approval.
Dotun insisted that taking a child out of a country without the consent of both parents amounts to kidnapping, saying the embassy failed to investigate properly.
He said he had remained silent for three years but could no longer continue to do so.
He described himself as a committed father who has been unfairly treated and claimed he has repeatedly sought answers from the embassy without any response.
Recall Dotun and his ex-wife, Omotayo, ended their marriage in 2022, leading to a widely publicised custody dispute.
Both sides have made accusations and counter-accusations in court and on social media.
In 2023, his ex wife had admitted that dual custody was agreed and that both parents had access to the children.
Meanwhile, Dotun has consistently hinted that pop star Dbanj who is brother to his ex wife had been instrumental in the fight against him.
In this latest saga, he also posted pictures of the singer with US embassy personnel, to insinuate his part in the alleged kidnapping of his children.

How is it possible to have the passport of my kids with me; a court order on an ongoing case of divorce, a parent who is not an American citizen issued new passports without a consent from the father, without the father present? I am an amazing Father with the true intention and purpose to grow with my children and do the best for them in my biggest capacity. I was when you deprived me. You had no right to deprive me of a fair hearing. My question to the American embassy? How did my kids get out without my consent, a court order and while their passports were with me?

If you take a child out of the jurisdiction of a country, against the law without consent, it’s termed kidnapping. Even in the states, taking a child from one state to another without consent is termed kidnapping

If you are so fair, why do I have my kids passport, a Federal high court order that says no one should take the kids out of the jurisdiction of the country, the liar is in contempt of court and yet you issued them passports? No investigation, no consent? No hearing from both parties? I just need answers American embassy
It’s fair to say a man is flawed cos that’s how your system treats us here. we are treated like we don’t matter hence why I am not important right? So much it has now become apparent that a system can issue passports, support the kidnapping of my kids without the consent of the father?
I lay this to you, the American embassy in Nigeria is compromised in my case. My beautiful kids deserve both parents in their lives. Your laws are infinite but not above a person’s rights. You have deprived me with the help of liars, judged me & treated me unfairly. It’s time. No more games
The priority of the children are very important but have you for once thought or checked the extent people can go or lie to take kids out? Do you not need the consent of both parents to issue a passport? Do you realize people submit fake documents and publications to mar the reputation of people. It’s 3 years now

When a court gives an order in a country. Is it null & void just because someone can cook up the best lies? I feel it is apparent that whatever @POTUS is trying to clean up in the immigration system is somewhat valid especially to people that lie to gain access. The American embassy it’s time to provide my kids or give me a fair hearing. Una don buy better market
I don’t need have to be in your country to gain validation. I have grown myself my craft with sweat & sweat. I even attend your functions, support with diligence; add value to your core as a true Nigerian. The American embassy in Nigeria are enablers of child abduction. Very bias. No proper investigation. They destroy families & do not protect kids. I have written for years, kept quiet for 3 years. It’s time. I have realized you all think you uphold a system that’s fair but you are very unfair
Now you are talking. Be rest assured, papers were most likely forged or games played cos again I have the kids birth certificates with my full name on it. As a matter of fact I was present to sign for the first child in Houston where she was born.
