Manchester United have accidentally confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the club’s new interim manager.
Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager on Tuesday with the Red Devils sixth in the league table, 19 points adrift of bitter
rivals Liverpool following the 3-1 defeat at the weekend.
Solskjaer is in line to take over until the end of the season but there has been no official announcement from the club.

However a video appeared on United’s official website celebrating Solskjaer, which confirmed his appointment.
A video of him scoring in the 1999 Champions League final was accompanied with the headline ‘The most famous night
of Ole’s career’.
The blurb for the video read:
“Solskjaer becomes our interim manager, 20 seasons after clinching the Treble with THAT goal at Camp Nou…”
The post was however immediately taken down.
Solskjaer smashed 128 goals in 367 appearances for the club during 10 seasons at Old Trafford.
