Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the fitness of Mason Greenwood and Anthony
Martial will determine whether or not Odion Ighalo is handed a home debut against his former club Watford
on Sunday.
Both of Ighalo two appearnces have come from the bench since his loan move to United and head coach Solskjaer has hinted a first start is close.
On the likelihood of Ighalo facing Watford, Solskjaer was quoted as saying by United’s official webpage :
“Everyone says that [players raise their game] against their old team when they score, but there are also many
games when you don’t score.“Odion is getting more and more minutes, but [whether he starts] depends on Mason as well of course, and how Anthony [Martial] is [after playing on Thursday].”
Ighalo spent two and a half years at Watford before sealing a big money move to Changchun Yatai in January 2017.
