A man identified as Arnie Szoke has become the first British man to have a bank card microchip surgically implanted in his body to make payments easier.

The 40 year old man had paid £350 to get the chip in Germany through newly designed technology.

The chip which contains Arnie’s bank card details will expire like a regular ATM card, hence will be needing a replacement by 2029.

Arnie had been on the UK show called ‘This Morning today’ on ITV which led to numerous comments by viewers who labeled his actions ‘idiotic’.

‘Yes yes let’s all go and have a chip implanted into your organic body… the mark of the beast.

Another said:

So now, instead of mugging you for your wallet, they’ll cut your hand off for your bank card! I’ll pass thanks!’

And another:

‘This guy who’s got put his creditcard chip in his hand is an idiot – look forward to three years time when his bank card gets renewed and it stops working’
