A Nigerian lady was discovered to have set a statue of the Virgin Mary on fire after morning mass in Enugu state.
Members of the congregation were outraged to find the revered statue burnt to crisp by the lady.
The statue was located at St. Jacob’s Parish, Orba, Enugu State and the incident reportedly occurred this morning after mass.

It was gathered that the unnamed lady waited till the end of the morning mass before entering the Virgin Mary Grotto with a gallon of fuel and burn it down.

The suspect was later apprehended and she is currently undergoing interrogation to know the motivation behind her action.
