Pastor aborts baby of 17-year-old church member after raping, impregnating her

A pastor has been arrested by the police in Edo state after he rap*d and impregnated a 17-year-old church member and then aborted the baby. 

The pastor identified as Ekene Samuel who is the General overseer of Gloryland Church in Benin city was arrested for rap*ng the teenager by allegedly using charms and then aborting the baby reports The Nation. 

According to the Police, Pastor Ekene had defiled the young girl by luring her with charms in December 2018. The charms were recovered at his residence upon his arrest. After his arrest, Miracle was reported missing by one Henry Aikhuaman. 

It was learnt that the girl was later found on a sick bed at Graceville Medical Centre along Ewah Road in Benin City, where doctors reportedly told police interrogators that Miracle was brought in by one Happy Johnson, a deaconess in Pastor Ekene’s church.

The deaconess later revealed to newsmen at the police station that she was sent to facilitate the abortion by Pastor Miracle. 

While confessing to the crime, the pastor said:

“Last year I had an extra marital affair with her in August. She came to me this year that she was pregnant. I asked my member here to take her to the hospital. She was taking some drugs to remove the pregnancy. The baby died in her womb. The doctors did surgery on her because she was having appendicitis. The hospital asked me to pay N380, 000 and I have paid N150, 000 before I was arrested. She did not die.

“These charms were items returned by people I prayed for through deliverance. Some are also for me. I also do spiritual work. I have anti-poison and others.”

The Edo Police Commissioner, Muhammed Dan Mallam, quoted the victim to have said: “the pastor had s*x with me five times in December, 2018, with charms.”
