Reality TV star and actress, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has claimed she is being detained over an alleged property damage dispute at Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Phyna took to her Instagram stories just after midnight on Sunday to reveal that she would be spending the night in custody following an altercation at the hotel.
Recall Dockaysworld reported that Phyna’s altercation at the hotel was an issue she had with someone who she claimed had been robbing her.
According to her latest post, the management of Dalchifit Hotel accused her of damaging property worth N3.5 million during the incident and allegedly refused to provide CCTV footage of what transpired.
She wrote that the hotel had allowed “touts” to gain access to her room during the confrontation and was now “locking her up till Monday” for refusing to pay the damages.
Phyna alleged that the individuals who attacked her were let in through the hotel’s main gate and reception, adding that her room number was disclosed to them. She claimed she had requested CCTV footage to verify the extent of the damage but was yet to receive a response from the hotel or the police.
As of the time of this report, neither the management of Dalchifit Hotel nor the Gwarinpa Police Station had issued an official statement regarding the incident.
She wrote:
