Armed police officers have taken over the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), known as Wadata Plaza, in Abuja.
The move comes amid growing tension over a planned National Executive Committee (NEC) Expanded Caucus Meeting scheduled for Monday.
According to a PDP official who spoke anonymously to Channels Television, the police were sent to stop the meeting from taking place.
Initially, some staff members were allowed into the building, but they were later asked to leave.
Journalists at the scene were also ordered out of the premises.
In addition, police officers were seen blocking Dalaba Street, the main road that leads to the secretariat.
The situation remains tense as party members await further developments.
