Honourable Sunday Adewale Omofojoye, who served as the Councilor representing Ward A in the Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, has sadly passed away.
He died on Saturday evening at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), where he had been receiving treatment.
Although the exact cause of death has not been confirmed, sources indicate that he had been unwell for some time.
Omofojoye was nearing the end of his second term in office, having served almost eight years.
His current term was due to finish in July.
News of his death has left the Oworonshoki community, which he represented, in deep mourning.
