Qatar has confirmed it’s first case of coronavirus just a day after Nigeria also recorded it’s first case as well.
The ministry of Health stated that a Qatari citizen, aged 36 years who returned recently from Iran tested positive for the virus. The ministry stated that the infected person was evacuated on Thursday from Iran, where 43 deaths were reported from the virus.
COVID-19 coronavirus has now spread to more than 45 countries worldwide, including the US, UK, Singapore, France, Russia, Spain and India. China, where the virus originated, is the worst-hit country, where 2,837 deaths were reported.
The World Health Organization, which had previously declared the outbreak as an international health emergency, raised the global coronavirus alert level from high to “very high”.
