The cause of death of popular American Rapper Jared Higgins, popularly known as Juice Wrld, has finally been released after the autopsy was completed.
The 21-year-old rapper died from an accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said in a statement obtained by newsmen.
It was gathered that the young star’s death was an accident.
He had died at the hospital after he was rushed there from the Chicago’s Midway International Airport on December 8, 2019.
On the day of his death, Chicago police were called to the airport to assist federal authorities
“in regards to a private jet arriving at the airport which contained a large amount of narcotics.”
The police had discovered 41 bags of marijuana, six prescription bottles of suspected liquid codeine and three firearms.
Juice WRLD suffered a seizure during the search, and a Homeland Security officer administered Narcan to him.
Narcan is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Unfortunately, the rapper didn’t recover.
