Tottenham have agreed a club-record fee with Lyon worth around £65m for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele is one of Pochettino’s priorities and the 22-year-old’s arrival will boost Tottenham ’s hopes of keeping the Argentine at the club.
Pochettino has made it clear that Spurs need to show more ambition in the transfer window this summer, having failed to make any signings in the last two windows.

Juventus had been chasing Ndombele, but the italian club are resigning themselves to the fact that, barring a late hitch, he is likely to move to north London.
