Revealed: when Liverpool can win Premier League following City’s loss at Spurs

Liverpool now require just 18 points from 13 games to be crowned top-flight champions for the first time in 30 years.

The Reds took another step closer to their promised land with a 4-0 victory at home to Southampton on Saturday, with the 22 point gap that was opened up then maintained on Sunday when Manchester City lost 2-0 at Tottenham.

Twenty-two points is the largest gap there has ever been between first and second place in English top-flight history, while City are now closer to 14th place Crystal Palace (21 points) than they are to Liverpool above them.

All of which has led to Reds fans asking just when they will be able to see their side seal the title.

If the Reds keep winning and City do too then they will be champions with a victory at home to Crystal Palace on March 21, becoming the earliest champions in Premier League history in the process.
