The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Professor Ngozi Nma Ordu, has again denied rumours claiming she has resigned from her position.
Her spokesperson, Owepele Benibo, called the reports completely false and urged the public not to believe them.
In a phone interview, Benibo said that the Deputy Governor is not stepping down, especially now that efforts are being made to restore peace in the state.

He confirmed that she is still actively working with Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration.

This is the second time such rumours have spread, similar claims were made on Facebook in March 2025, but her team also denied them then.
