Liverpool made it eight wins from eight with a dramatic victory over Leicester at Anfield.

The Reds extend their lead at the top to eight points ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Wolves on Sunday.

Sadio Mane continued his fine start to the season with the opening goal at Anfield, breaking the deadlock after a fine move out of defence.

James Milner set the Senegalese away with a fine pass and Mane made no mistake as he beat Kasper Schmeichel.

Leicester had their chances to level and finally did so with just over 10 minutes remaining as Ayoze Perez found James Maddison, who scored past Adrian.

But James Milner won it from the spot with the last kick of the game after Mane was felled in the area.

The victory was soured by an injury to Mohammed Salah in the closing stages of the game.

They will nonetheless be waiting anxiously for news on Salah, with the international break coming at a good time for Jurgen Klopp and his side.
