General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has officially unveiled the Hand of God Cathedral in Port Harcourt, a 120,000-capacity auditorium dedicated to God.Â
Established in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the ministry began its mission to erect the edifice of worship years ago.
Conceived as the central place of worship for millions of followers across the globe, the Hand of God Cathedral represents years of planning.Â
The structure has five main sections and when viewed aerially depicts a large hand which is said to represent the Hand of God, hence the name.
Designed to seat 120,000 people, the massive edifice stands as one of the largest church auditoriums in the world.
The unveiling and dedication drew thousands of worshippers and residents, celebrating what is now one of the largest church auditoriums in the world.
Nigeria has become a hub for massive Christian auditoriums, including the Redemption Camp Auditorium (RCCG, Ogun State – over 500,000), Glory Dome (Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja – 100,000), Faith Tabernacle (Living Faith Church, Ota – 50,000), City of Wonders (Champions Royal Assembly, Abuja – 80,000), Deeper Life Headquarters (Lagos – 30,000), and the ongoing The Ark project (Living Faith Church – over 100,000).
