FSARS officer exposed by robber as their gang leader [Graphic]

A police officer of the Special Anti-robbery squad(SARS), Lagos, Asom Ubi has been arrested after being exposed by armed robbery gang member he cheated.

According to reports, the informant surrendered himself to the Special intelligence Response Team(IRT),Lagos state police command located at GRA,Ikeja.

He had confessed that he was an armed robber and that Ubi had led a gang of which he was included to snatched a GNLD truck with goods worth N147 million, which they later sold at a cheap price of 47million naira but the all matter got a twist when he was given N150k instead of their initially agreed  N3million by the officer.

Feeling cheated he decided to surrender himself and informed the police, so that Ubi can be brought to book.

After series of drilling by officer Philip,  the CSP in charge of IRT unit it was found that the informant was telling the truth. Officer Uba was however arrested and it was established that he allegedly confessed to committing the crime.
