Afro beat musician, Seun Kuti has blasted Nigerian parents who continue to attend political rallies while their children are out of school due to ASUU strike.
The vocal son of Fela posted on instagram, urging parents to consider their children first. He wondered why the closure of universities for months had not caused as much a reaction as it should.
The Academic Union has been on strike since November and after several meetings with the FG, have demanded payment of owed funds before the strike will be called off.
He wrote;

Until we are ready to serve our children and not just raise them, we shall never understand national development. How hijab crisis in a secular school can create more outrage than the closure of our university for months is the proof we need to know that we are willing to serve everything else but our children.
